Who dies in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone book?

Quirinus Quirrell, a wizard and Professor of Defence Against the Dark Arts who had joined in allegiance with evil Lord Voldemort has died in this book. It is unclear if he was killed by Harry Potter, or Lord Voldemort who possessed his body. The cause of death was either burns from his assault on Harry Potter and Harry’s counterattack, or Lord Voldemort’s departure from his body. When Harry Potter passes out, Quirrell is very badly hurt, but he is not yet dead, and Harry does not see him dieing. Dumbledore later tells him that Voldemort has left Quirinus to die.
