PetPad

With PetPad your kid will learn to draw letters and at the same time teach custom tricks to a pet. Pet also has to be fed and washed to stay healthy. When the pet has been bathed it should be blow dried. How you can do that? Blow in the built-in microphone!

When the LeapFrog Leappad Explorer is connected to the computer the points collected by players can be used to buy optional food and accessories for the pet. Child’s learning progress also can be checked at the same time.

Story Studio: All About Me

In this app kids can create their own book telling their story with an artwork, photos, writing and even audio recordings. Kids can share their books by uploading them to LeapFrog Connect or Facebook or simply emailing them to friends. Of course LeapPad has to be connected to computer to do that.

Art Studio

In Art Studio kids can get really creative and build pictures using shapes, stamps, brushes, pencils and more virtual drawing tools. Art Studio is a first step of developing kid’s creativity, the next step being ‘Mr. Pencil saves Doodleburg’ or similar game.

Camera and Video Recorder

LeapFrog LeapPad Explorer has a low resolution camera and video recorder built-in. It is a great entry level feature that will teach your kid to take pictures and videos of his parents, pets, friends, and world around him. Later even kids will learn that the image quality is not the greatest, and then you will have to think about investing into the real camera if your kid is into photography.

There is also an image editing and effects adding feature that allows even more creativity development.
